Activate or deactivate the PIN
The PIN protects your SIM card from unauthorised use. If the PIN is activated, it needs to be keyed in when you turn on the device. Follow these instructions to activate or deactivate the PIN.
1. Find " Set up SIM card lock"
Press Applications.
Press Settings.
Press Location and security.
Press Set up SIM card lock.
2. Activate or deactivate
Press Lock SIM card to activate or deactivate the PIN.
If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, the SIM card is blocked. To unblock the SIM card, you need to key in the PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting customer services.
Please note:
If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, the SIM card is blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM card from your operator.

Key in the PIN and press OK.

When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the PIN is activated.

3. Exit
Press the Home key to return to standby mode.
