Write and send text messages

A text message is a message that can be sent to other mobile phones. If you can't send and receive text messages as soon as you've inserted your SIM, you need to set up your phone for text messaging.

Step 1 of 10

Slide your finger upwards on the screen.

Step 2 of 10

Press Samsung.

Step 3 of 10

Press Messages.

Step 4 of 10

Press the new message icon.

Step 5 of 10

Press the search field and key in the first letters of the recipient's name.

Step 6 of 10

Press the required contact.

Step 7 of 10

Press the SIM icon to select the required SIM.

Step 8 of 10

Press the text input field and write the text for your text message.

Step 9 of 10

Press the send icon when you've finished your text message.

Step 10 of 10

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

Slide your finger upwards on the screen.
Press Samsung.
Press Messages.
Press the new message icon.

2. 2. Select recipient

Press the search field and key in the first letters of the recipient's name.
Press the required contact.

3. 3. Select SIM

Press the SIM icon to select the required SIM.

4. 4. Write text

Press the text input field and write the text for your text message.

5. 5. Send text message

Press the send icon when you've finished your text message.

6. 6. Return to the home screen

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
