You can't use tethering - Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Cause 1 of 2: Your computer or phone hasn't been set up correctly

You need to set up your computer and your phone before you can use tethering.

Solution: Set up your phone for tethering.

Connect phone and computer

Connect the data cable to the socket and to your computer's USB port.

Step 2 of 6

Turn on tethering

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.
Press the settings icon.

Turn on tethering

Press the Connections tab.

Turn on tethering

Press Tethering and portable hotspot.

Turn on tethering

Press USB tethering until the function is turned on.

Establish connection

An internet connection from your computer via your phone is automatically established.
When the connection is established, you can access the internet from your computer.

1 Connect phone and computer

Press the settings icon.
Press the Connections tab.
Press Tethering and portable hotspot.
Press USB tethering until the function is turned on.

3 Establish connection

When the connection is established, you can access the internet from your computer.
